The ongoing Shri Amarnath ji Yatra has crossed the mark of 3.77 lakhs: LG Sinha

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today addressed the inaugural session of Shri Buddha Amarnathji Yatra at Abhinav Theater in Jammu.

The first batch of the holy pilgrimage will be sent from Yatri Niwaswati Nagar on July 28 at 6 am tomorrow morning.

In his address, the Lieutenant Governor extended his greetings and wished devotees, Baba Amarnath and Mercury Amarnath Yatri Nas, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, and other stakeholders involved in the preparation and management of Yatra.

The Lieutenant Governor welcomed devotees from all over the country to obey Lord Shiva.

“The sacred pilgrimage for the Mercury Amarnath ji temple in Punech has a lot of spiritual significance. Divisional Commissioner, Tourism Department, District and Police Administration, and all stakeholders departments and organizations have made adequate arrangements for safe, comfortable and hassle -free pilgrimage,” Lieutenant government said.

More than 3.77 lakh devotees have paid their obedience in the holy cave during the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra. I am proud that we are collectively discharging our responsibility, he said.

The Lieutenant Governor noticed that the gathering of devotees and saints for the spiritual journey reminds us of our timeless knowledge, cultural heritage and rich traditions, who have directed the world for a long time towards peace, progress and unity.

India gave the message of Vasudhiv Kutumbakam- the world as a family. Our culture has always emphasized global welfare and peace. Now the time has come when the magnificent legacy of our rich ancient traditions should be handed over to the new generation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Lieutenant Governor also paid tribute to innocent civilians killed by Pakistan-respected terrorists in Pahgam.

“Operation Sindor is still on. Our police, security forces, administration are working with determination to thwart the enemy’s efforts,” said the Lieutenant Governor.

Mahamandaleshwar Swami Rameshwar Das; Organizing General Secretary, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Milind Parande; President Baba Amarnath and Buddha Amarnath Yatri Nias, Pawan Kumar Kohli; President Vishwa Hindu Parishad (J&K and Ladakh), Rajesh Gupta; National Convenor Bajrang Dal, Mr. Neeraj Dounaria, religious leaders, heads of various religious and social organizations and a large number of pilgrims were present.

Yudhivir Seth, Vikram Randhawa, Shri Gharu Ram Bhagat- members of the Legislative Assembly; Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar; IGP Jammu Bhim Sen Tutti, senior officer and prominent citizens of various fields of life were also present.
