The NIA has started an investigation into the Ganderbal terror attack and security forces are conducting operations to search for terrorists.

Terrorists carried out a cowardly attack in Kashmir’s Ganderbal on Saturday. A local doctor and six migrant workers were killed in the attack. Five other people were injured. The NIA has been entrusted with investigating the attack. The team is busy. Additionally, security forces are conducting search operations in the area to search for terrorists. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday met the injured admitted in the hospital. Compensation has been announced for the families of the deceased.

Three of the five non-locals killed in the attack in Ganderbalgaganjir district were residents of Bihar. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed grief over his death. According to a statement issued by the CM’s office, the CM has spoken to officials in New Delhi. He was asked to speak to the Jammu and Kashmir government and arrange for the bodies of citizens of the state to be brought back to their hometowns. The CM said the incident was extremely sad.

A reminder of the endless cycle of violence this attack

The Chief Minister of Bihar announced Rs 2 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the families of the state’s citizens who lost their lives in the terror attack. The country was outraged by the terrorist attack. All political parties condemned it. On Monday, Hurriyat leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq condemned the attack. Mirwaiz said every life is precious. The attack is a reminder of the endless cycle of violence. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have been facing this kind of violence for decades.

Big events cannot hide this truth: Iltija

Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party leader Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter Irtija Mufti said big events like elections or international marathons cannot hide the fact that there are problems in Kashmir and appropriate efforts need to be taken to solve. There is a problem in the Kashmir Valley that has been claiming the lives of innocent people for decades. This will continue until we accept it. Furthermore, they did not make appropriate efforts to find solutions.
