AThe S Sir Kire Stmper warned that the world is facing its most dangerous moment in decades, his call to make Britain “ready to fight” gave rise to strong-and divided-reactions. Independent Reader.
In a speech by Glasgow Announced a major defense push: More attack submarines, billions for nuclear warheads, and long distance weapons for preparation of possible conflict in Europe or Atlantic.
His appeal for “every part of society” to play a role Marks a big inningsBut with the defense spending only 2027 to increase the GDP up to 2.5 percent – and no firm promise to hit 3 percent – many people questioned whether the plans are cheap or realistic.
Some readers realized that Britain was associated with old priorities, investing in military power while health and social care systems are under stress. One commented: “Where is all this money coming from? I hate to say this, but it seems that the money tree is magically back.”
While some criticized the cost and relevance of the trident, others focus on submarines and high-tech gears, arguing modern threats such as drones and cyber attacks requiring different answers.
But not all reactions were negative. Many readers welcomed the move as a step to strengthen NATO, protect the UK interests and to face global threats.
The UK was also called to transfer its defense priorities, more on focusing less on foreign missions and defending infrastructure, energy and boundaries at home.
What did you say here:
Defense should be taken seriously
I do not want to criticize the defense review for this, as I agree with most of it, but 12 £ 4 billion attack submarines at a pop and then about 1 billion pounds a year, to run each? And where will the sailors come from to run them?
It seems that we two – yes, two – aircraft carriers ordered without any aircraft, and people still talk about Gordon Brown? Let us hope that the opposition MPs will change the brief debate properly for a change.
This is really time to behave seriously for protection, not only to exploit personal gain on another political subject.

Stop trying to become a mini-American
When it comes to defense, it is important that we do not just try to become a mini-America, but fully develop unique abilities that give us a profit on more powerful opponents with a very large defense budget.
The first agenda should have the ability to shoot anything moving towards the UK. Second, there should be the ability to stop any attack on shipping / undergraduate cable etc. around the UK. The final list should have our aggressive capabilities that we can deploy worldwide.
It should be focused on relatively cheap (easily replica) equipment that can remove much more advanced and expensive equipment – that is, drones that can destroy warships, etc.

Make jobs
This is really good news. This needs to be done completely. And if it is handled efficiently, it can promote the UK economy. We have the ability to make military weapons, and it will create high-skilled jobs. We are likely to sell arms to other countries, which will give another boost to our economy. Explaining clearly, it is so regret that we are not in the European Union so that we can work more closely with our European colleagues, and of course enrich.

Where is the money coming from?
This is a great large British children who are hungry. Low money for elderly and disabled care. Education, less money for the councils… and where is all this money coming from literally? I am sorry to say this, but the money tree seems to grow again.

Defense spending must increase immediately
On the one hand, politics, declaring a 3 percent cap at military expense at one time, is more serious than before WW2. We should adopt a policy to immediately increase our defense spending to the level that is necessary.
We should invest in security – food, energy, manufacturing and research. The enemy has played a patient and alert game – using Halisan days where “West” believed that no one would be foolish to attack us to trust our resources and products.
Eastern alliance and its various autocratic colleagues have made us all in a chocolate hatred from a danger point of view.
It is necessary that we immediately switch to a war, not a vague target of 3% by the end of the next Parliament.
We need a program of investment, training and recruitment in our armed forces, engineering, medicine, energy, energy and manufacturing industries, of which we have never seen before. If we do not, I am afraid that we are lucky, if we are lucky, we live to regret it.

We could not defend Falkland today
As we have seen from illegal anexes of some parts of Putin’s Ukraine, it is not required for atomic sub, but shoes on the ground – soldiers, tanks, aircraft, etc.
We need to deploy soldiers and when we need them. Even Putin is not stupid enough to start leaving Nukes on Europe, Britain or America – he knows that he will lose.
As a retired Army General said: Our Army, Navy and Air Force have been slowly cut back by various governments. He said that there was no way to rescue something like Falklands again.
Enemies will always benefit when you are in your weakest.

Military power means generosity
What Israel is doing Europe and most of the world, cannot be opposed much. But the fact is that they are able to do so because America has full military dominance.
Even if the United Nations implemented restrictions/embarragos on Israel, how can it be implemented? We cannot physically stop the goods. Nor can we interfere physically to protect Palestinians. Or even a realistic threat.
The sad fact is that no matter how much we object, our opinion is counted for nothing without a strong army to return it. We cannot protect people without a strong army.

no brainer
It is a no-brine. Defense comes first before welfare. Currently we spend more than 2 percent of GDP on defense, but 11 percent on welfare. Increasing defense spending up to 3 percent of GDP is easily cheaper.

Over-purpose
It all feels good, however: UK has barely 30+ combat-red-ray challenger 2 main battle tanks, deduction in defense budget, inflation, a certain political instability, issues with migration, a problematic NHS, a single nuclear strategic submarine, a single nuclear strategic submarine, American F-35, American F-35, Typhoon/Eurofitator for a super-dupor, and a super-duper fighter, and a super-duper firing for all, a super-duper fir Dived NHS.
I suspect that he has any of the above.
He will pay for all what he is planning?

A good speech, basis in realism
It seems that this is actually a good speech and result. This is about protecting the scope and strengthening NATO. It is about working with the world as it is, not that we will like it. And using the British industry, it helps in the economy.

Unseen but realistic
This country still has a ‘Make do and Mend’ approach at the time of war, which is virtually everything, especially for protecting. Nothing will happen until Russia is actively attacking our country, and there will be a crazy crowd to connect any kind of defense together, until we can beg the US to come for our help.
To follow the aspiration of Tony Redkin for a Kamikese drone unit, “I suspect that HMG sees ‘Asap’ as in future when the next government is in power.
If my comment comes deeply as a condemn, it does not mean – it is just realistic how descending priorities of our governments appear: politics, good optics, PR, spin and then real distribution.

Britain: A Fall Fifty-First American State
Britain continues to think of itself as a major world power, when in fact, we fall in the depressed and Fifty-first American State.
We need to learn from more realistic and mature countries like Switzerland, Denmark and Portugal.
Till then, our standard of living will continue to fall.

UK nuclear preventive: biggest foolish ever
The fact is that the cost of renewing the trident is £ 100 billion. The UK has four atoms sub -groups that are originally controlled by the US and apparently cannot see the Isle of Sky when they are under water. The UK’s nuclear preventive is the greatest foolish ever and makes Scotland a target when most of the scots are being deployed in nuclear weapons in their country.
Scotland now has a dual hit of nuclear weapons and Nigel Faraj, as a potential PM (both being equally dangerous), and now, if asked, Scotland will vote for 60 percent to be independent. This England Farage supporter may not have a great shake in your southeast, but the bang goes to your oil revenue and your sub -bases.

Why does the UK go everywhere?
I do not understand why Britain feels the need to paste its eye everywhere … China, Taiwan, Venezuela, Russia, Ukraine, Yemen, Syria … It is endless. I live in Spain and a local politician was happy to hear that we comment on general knowledge that we struggle to find money for education, health care, etc.

Subs are dead in water
As the modern ‘land’ war has dramatically changed with the onset of aerial drone, so the ‘notical’ war – especially in this case. Acoustic sensitivity is now so advanced that submarines cannot hide by detecting – to shrink a phrase: they are dead in water!
It is ironic that as we go into a more nationalist and therefore more aggressive foreign policy, we are all threatened than our own leadership than any other, as this’ aggression ‘calls’ more’ hard ‘for men.
It is claimed by individuals using ‘fear’ to take advantage of their own ambitions to suck the personal property of common people. It is claimed to pay for these faulty weapons of mass death that ‘democracy’ exists – it only indicates the power of propagation.
We live in a Cerengty world, where only continuous vigilance is necessary for survival – and need better selection of lead to enrich!

Atomic preventives are still effective
I think the frugality of NATO to face Russia directly in Ukraine reflects the effectiveness of an atomic preventive.
The value of the sub -price of more attacks is not so clear, but it would have been fixed together with military partners, and among them all, they probably know a little more than any of us.

Stop showing we are a major power
This is the time when we stopped ‘show off’ that we are a prominent player on the world stage. Even the share of funds required for nuclear weapons can change our health services, provide decent social care, etc.
I am not suggest that we leave NATO or our European colleagues, just we are realistic about our abilities.
