Search for missing 14 year old Samuel BirdThe Edmonton is now declared dead by the police, now taking a new form, as his family is running to find a response before the winter season begins.
Edmonton Police Service murder investigators say Samuel was last seen passing through the Holi Cross School ground near 151 Streets and 104 Avenue at 8:30 pm on June 1 at 8:30 pm.
He says that he then went to the house of a friend at 150 Street and 106 Avenue, where he was last seen.
Officers are now considering Samuel’s disappearance of four months long. The Admonton police say that he has been considered dead and believes that he died of criminal nature.
Investigators say they have the reason for believing that his body was left in the region in the west of the city.
Samuel’s loved ones say they will remove the command post at Dawson Park on the banks of the river valley to re -focus the search in the area identified by the police.
Farmers and property owners are being advised that volunteers will not encroach, but they will wear shiny visible jackets and search the surrounding areas.
Samuel’s mother Alana Bird said, “We have a friend, her father brought four quads from Pentintton, BC, it was actually a few days later, so it was good. We got a lot of support. We will just continue searching.”
Bird is asking the police to call the hunters and anyone in the highlighted area.
