The medical team ensures safe delivery to pursue ambulances in Swift Action Ganderbal

A 38 -year -old woman from Hankar Gund in Gandarbal district of Central Kashmir gave birth inside a moving ambulance between Thursday and Friday, thanks to an emergency medical team’s quick action and calm professionalism.

According to officials, at 5:21 pm, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Sameer Ahmed Khan and ambulance pilot Gulot Gulzar Ahmed Kasana were sent to Najma Banu, who went into labor. On reaching him, the team found that he was already in the last stages of the child’s birth, with the child’s crown.

Feeling that there was no time to reach the hospital, Khan immediately prepared a delivery kit and demonstrated the process in the ambulance. After the moments, a healthy newborn was distributed, with an upghar score of 8 out of 10.

Both mother and child were stable and their common significant signs. He was later transferred to the primary health center in the goon for further care.

The rapid action and coordination between Khan and Kasana has praised local and health officials, who called delivery “a will for a will and skills under pressure”.
