Patna, November 8 (IANS) Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav and actor-turned-BJP MP Ravi Kishan met for the second time on Saturday at the Patna airport.
Both the leaders were seen speaking in a low voice away from the media.
Their brief, whispered conversation – after which both chanted “Har Har Mahadev” – triggered a new round of political speculation.
Both had met each other earlier also at the airport, after which discussions had started on whether Tej Pratap might move towards BJP.
However, there has been no official confirmation of any such move.
While talking to the media at the airport, Ravi Kishan made a scathing attack on the Grand Alliance.
He said that in the second phase of voting on November 11, there should be such a mandate that the deposits of opposition candidates should be confiscated.
According to the BJP MP, after the first phase the mood is clear and the momentum is with the NDA.
BJ MP Ravi Kishan also alleged that he receives threats even when the opposition is not in power, asking rhetorically what would happen if they came to power.
He said that the opposition is desperate and has ruined Bihar.
He claimed that a double engine government will be formed on November 14 and said that Bihar will move towards becoming the number one state.
After his second brief conversation with Tej Pratap, Ravi Kishan again invoked Lord Mahadev, saying, “Mahadev’s blessings are with us… Mahadev has decided everything… Mahadev’s conch will blow… Jai Ho,” he said.
Earlier on Friday, Tej Pratap told reporters that he would support whoever develops Bihar, while Ravi Kishan said that BJP’s doors are always open for devotees of Lord Shiva.
Ravi Kishan said that Tej Pratap was a good-hearted person and a devotee of Lord Shiva.
Asked if a different picture might emerge after voting ends in Bihar, Tej Pratap reiterated, “Whoever removes unemployment and provides employment, we will support him. We both wear tilak, so why wouldn’t we praise each other?”
