The Indian Embassy in Iran announced that it would gradually reduce its withdrawal practice for Indian citizens, after Israel’s military operations on the Islamic Republic were launched after an increased conflict in the region, as a struggle deal between the two countries was held on Tuesday.

In a post on X, the embassy expanded the closure of the contact desk installed to record new names of Indian citizens, assuring the continuous monitoring of the security situation.

“Announcement from India’s Embassy, ​​Tehran: Since the ceasefire has been announced, the embassy is gradually fueling the evacuation exercise launched during the military conflict in Iran. So the embassy has opened new names to resume the contact desk. Indian citizens in Iran,” Embassy said.

The embassy currently advised Indian citizens to other parts of Iran, who were planning to travel to Iran’s Mashhad, to stay at their current places and continue monitoring any revised advice from the news updates and embassy.

“Indians who are in other parts of Iran, but were planning to travel to Mashhad for withdrawal, are advised where they are, and continue monitoring the news, as well as continue any updated advice released by the embassy,” Post read.

For those who had already reached Mashhad in recent times and have been staying in the hotels organized by the embassy, ​​it issued instructions to shift to the Sadar Hotel in Iran till Wednesday (local time). The embassy specified, “Indians who had already traveled to Mashhad in the last few days, and living in one of the hotels arranged by the embassy are requested to shift to the Sadar Hotel today, as the embassy will release the rooms in other hotels.”

The embassy stated that it would maintain the rooms at the Sadar Hotel for two more nights, till the checkout time on 26 June, so that the citizens could get time to assess the generalization of the security situation.

The post said, “The Embassy will maintain the rooms at the Sadar Hotel for 2 and nights (on June 26). This will allow citizens to assure themselves that the security situation in Iran is really normal,” the post said.

It came after US President Trump, in early Tuesday, announced a ceasefire agreement between two conflict countries after the Iran’s attack on US military bases in Qatar and Iran in response to US attacks on its nuclear facilities.

However, after the announcement, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) launched a limited strike on the installation of an Iranian radar in the north of Tehran, after which Iran launched two ballistic missiles in Israel, as reported by the Times of Israel.

Trump expressed his strong rejection about Israel and Iran, “violating the ceasefire”, he announced, and said that the two countries are “fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what they are doing.”

Shortly thereafter, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that after a conversation between Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel has “abstained” from further attacks on Iran.
This came after a series of increasing military functions in the region when Israel initially carried out coordinated attacks against the Iranian atomic and military sites on 13 June.

Subsequently, Iran retaliated with attacks on Israeli military infrastructure, and the US joined the struggle with accurate attacks on Iran’s three major nuclear amenities – Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan.
