The inauguration of CM Nitish launches Rs 822CR projects in Bhagalpur, Khagaria

Patna, September 25 (IANS) With the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated on Thursday and laid the foundation stone for a series of major development projects in Bhagalpur and Khadia districts, collectively worth more than Rs 822 crore.

In Bhagalpur, the Chief Minister launched 59 development projects costing about Rs 302 crore, including the first declared initiative during his Pragati Yatra.

The objective of the projects is to promote infrastructure, improve public facilities and increase the quality of life for local residents.

Nitish Kumar also held a conversation with the beneficiaries of the Social Security Pension Scheme, Jeevika Didis, Electricity Consumers and other welfare recipients.

He heard complaints from local workers and officials to take quick action on their concerns.

Later during the day, CM traveled to Khagaria, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 256 projects worth Rs 520 crore.

These projects were bound by the announcements of the first Pragati Yatra – major areas such as rural infrastructure, road connectivity and public welfare.

Speaking on the events, CM Nitish Kumar said, “This initiative will provide new inspiration and direction for development in the field and bring people directly benefits.”

This tornado tour comes in the midst of an intensive campaign program.

On Wednesday, Nitish Kumar visited Kamur and Rohta, where he unveiled and launched projects worth more than Rs 1,911 crore.

At a grand ceremony in Kimur district at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel College, Bhabua, Nitish Kumar launched 178 projects worth Rs 980.15 crore for Kaimur district.

Among them, he laid foundation stones for 51 projects worth Rs 854.66 crore, while the cost of 127 projects was inaugurated at Rs 125.49 crore.

In Rohta, CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid the foundation of Rs 931 crore projects in the school education project premises, including electricity, urban development, and canal-path widening schemes, which were earlier declared during their prehisted trips.

He is currently visiting two districts daily, combining the regime with electoral outreach as the state gears for the upcoming assembly elections.
