The government tells media channels not to use civil defense siren sounds in programs

New Delhi, May 10: On Saturday, the government advised all media channels to avoid using the Civil Defense Air Red Siren Sound in their programs besides community awareness drives.

In a advice, the fire service of the Director General, Civil Defense and Home Guards said that using the powers given under the Civil Defense Act, 1968, all media channels were requested to avoid using the civil defense air raids in their programs besides educating the community.

It states that regular use of sirens may lead to the possibility of reducing the sensitivity of citizens towards an air raids and during the actual air raid, siren may misunderstand it as a regular case used by media channels.
