The government is providing massive subsidies for spice cultivation in the state, availing the benefits of the scheme

India produces spices on a large scale. At the same time, many state governments are also encouraging farmers to grow spices. Similarly, the Bihar government is also promoting the cultivation of coriander and fenugreek under the seed spice scheme. Under this scheme of the Bihar government, farmers can earn huge profits by growing coriander and fenugreek, for which the state government has also provided generous subsidies.

Coriander and fenugreek cultivation to be subsidized

The Bihar Horticulture Department provided information about the seed spice scheme through a tweet. Under the seed spice scheme, farmers in the state will get a subsidy of Rs 15,000 per acre for coriander and fenugreek. Under this program, farmers will be provided with information about coriander and fenugreek so that they can increase their income through cultivation.

This is how coriander is grown

Coriander should be cultivated in dry and cold areas with strong sunlight, high altitude and good drainage. This provides more yield. At the same time, it should be cultivated in well-drained loamy or clay soil. When cultivating, first level the field and plow it deeply 2-3 times. It is best to apply cow dung manure to the field before the final plowing. Before sowing coriander seeds in the field, rub them first, divide them into two parts and then sow them.

How to grow fenugreek

Proper preparation should be made for fenugreek crops. For this purpose, a soil plow should be used for the first plowing, and a local plow or harrow should be used for 2 or 3 plowings. Proper moisture in the field at the time of sowing is essential for good germination. At the same time, the planting period of fenugreek in plain areas is from October to November, and in hilly areas from March to May.
