Chandigarh, September 30 (IANS) ‘Beyond Stubble’, a powerful documentary film, which is discovering the issue of crop residue burning in Punjab, has won an award in the prestigious ‘Breath of Change’ CMS Vatavaran short film competition.
The competition on air pollution, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF and CC) and NCR and NCR and NCR and nearby areas (CAQM) were organized by the Commission for air quality management.
The award was submitted to the film’s director Dharmik Patel by the Chairperson of Air Quality Management (CAQM), Rajesh Verma at a program in Delhi.
The documentary is produced by ASAR, which is a Bangalore-based development startup in collaboration with Clean Air Punjab, a network of organizations and individuals dedicated to promoting clean air and environmental stability in the Punjab region.
The 13 -minute film highlights the complex issue of burning with the perspective of farmers of Punjab. Through real-life stories and on-a-knot conversations, the film highlights the challenges faced by the farming community, which also demonstrates practical, on-gounder solutions that can reduce burns without compromising their livelihood.
The film’s director, an elected Dharmik Patel, said he was happy about the award, “The award is actually related to the farmers who shared their story with us.
‘Beyond Stubble’ is a will for the importance of listening and learning from people working on land every day. Their experiences are important to find solutions that actually work. ,
Sanam Wazir, director of the State Climate Action in Asar, said, “The film celebrates his important role in creating a farmer’s voice and cleaner future.
The ‘Beyond Stubble’ expects to motivate more interactions around sustainable farming, strengthen co-workers among farmers and encourage collective action for Punjab and beyond cleaner air and healthy futures. ,
The award underlines the power of storytelling in raising awareness about stabbing and increasing awareness about the need for collaborative solutions. It is a win for filmmakers and a tribute to the flexibility and knowledge of the cultivation community of Punjab.
