Election strategist and leader Prashant Kishore (PK) will launch his party ‘Jan Suraj’ today. PK has announced that the Jan Suraj Padyatra event will continue even after the party launch. Bihar will hold assembly elections next year. PK said Jan Suraj will contest the 2025 elections to 243 assembly seats in Bihar. Prashant Kishore’s wife Jhanvi Das is a resident of Assam and a doctor by profession. Prashant and Janhvi met while working together on a United Nations health project. Let us tell you that after the formation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government in 2014, Kishore, along with colleagues from the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), took over the campaign and strategy responsibilities of then Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, 2015. He conveyed the Prime Minister’s seven promises to the public under the slogan “Nitish’s Determination: Guarantee of Development”. After winning the Bihar elections, Nitish appointed Kishore as his advisor.
In 2016, the Congress appointed Prashant Kishor to formulate the election strategy for the Punjab Assembly. The Congress returned to power in Punjab in 2017 through Prashant Kishore’s strategic campaign after two consecutive defeats. Congress appointed Kishore to contest the 2017 UP elections, but he did not succeed here.
Following this, YS Jaganmohan Reddy appointed Kishore as political advisor in May 2017. He engineered a series of campaigns for Reddy and the YSRCP returned to power by winning 151 out of 175 seats.
Kishor was the election strategist of the Aam Aadmi Party in the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections. The PPP successfully won 62 of the 70 seats in the election with an absolute majority. When Kishore was appointed as Trinamool Congress advisor for the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, his successful strategy led to Mamata Banerjee’s resounding victory of 213 seats out of 294. In 2021, he is the strategist of DMK president MK Stalin. Under his leadership, the DMK won the election with 159 seats and Stalin became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for the first time.
