Chandigarh, October 4 (IANS) Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said on Saturday that the ongoing development works in gram panchayats should be completed in a planned manner and within the stipulated time frame.
He said that the authorities should ensure that the benefits of public welfare schemes should be effectively reaching every qualified person at the ground level. For this, he directed that the progress of development works be reviewed every 15 days.
The Chief Minister was presiding over a review meeting with government officials.
He directed that the meetings of the gram sabha have been called to expedite the regularization of unauthorized houses built on the scams up to 500 square yards in gram panchayats.
He further directed that announcement should be made in Gram Panchayats to raise awareness among eligible beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister said that to ensure timely disposal of cases under this scheme, Gram Sabha meetings should be held within the next three weeks, and registrations for approved cases will be completed without delay in the districts where approval has already been given.
The Chief Minister directed that the beneficiaries who have been issued a hierarchical patra under the Chief Minister Gramin Avas Yojana 2.0, but those whose registrations are pending for any reason should be completed within the next one month.
He directed that separate camps should be organized under the Swamitwa scheme to improve the errors, ensure the accuracy of the map and submit a detailed report to the Financial Commissioner (Revenue).
Reviewing the use of the grant issued to the district councils under the State Finance Commission in the last four years, the Chief Minister said that development works should be executed on priority within the stipulated time.
He instructed the officials to ensure 100 percent use of available funds and strengthen the monitoring through Panchayat Samiti meetings, which should be held every two months.
CM Saini said that officers should work in close coordination with other departments to complete various development projects and schemes on time.
He insisted that the quality of all development works should be maintained and construction materials should be inspected at regular intervals.
In relation to the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) Solid Waste Management Shed, the Chief Minister directed the districts pending projects to prepare a plan and complete them as soon as possible.
He urged the districts of Faridabad, Gurugram, Jhanjar and Palwal to prepare each project under Gobar Dhan Yojana and submit it to the headquarters.
