Continuing its efforts to eradicate the danger of drugs from the society, the police in Avantpora arrested a drug pedal and recovered the controversial substances from its possession.
A spokesman said that the police team intercepted a vehicle (Toyota Etios) at a checkpoint installed in the toll plaza Avtipora, in which the registration number JK01AB-2289 operated by Aqib Ahmed Wani, who was the son of Aqeb Ahmed Ahmed Wani, a resident of Zafron Colony Sarinagar. During the search, 08 grams of heroin -like substance was recovered from its possession. He has been arrested and the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been confiscated.
Accordingly, a case video FIR number 169/2025 has been registered at Police Station Avantpora under the relevant sections of the law and investigation has been initiated.
