The Czech court quashed for the second time for the second decision, which acquits former Prime Minister Bab from allegations of fraud.

Web Desk, 23/06/202523/06/2025

Prague High court On Monday, the second time a lower court was canceled for the decision of a lower court, acquitting former Prime Minister Andrez Babius allegations of cheating in a $ 2 million case. European Union Subsidy.

The court returned the case for retric in the municipal court of Prague to deal with this, saying that the lower court, which acquitted Babius for the second time last year, did not assess the evidence properly.

Babius had requested not to be guilty and repeatedly said that the allegations against him were politically motivated. The prosecution had originally requested a suspended sentence and requested a fine to be paid by the local billionaire, which left in court before the announcement of the verdict.

The city court acquitted Babi for the first time in 2023. Prague’s High Court later quashed the decision and ordered the case to be withdrawn in the same court.

The former associate of Babius, who signed a subsidy request, will also face retricyal.

The case was centered around a farm which is known as Stork nestWho received subsidy of the European Union after his ownership, Babis, owned by Babis of about 250 companies, were transferred to Babis’s family members. Later, Agrowart again owned the field.

The subsidy was for moderate and small size businesses, which were not eligible for agropart. The group later returned the subsidy.

The lower court had earlier said that what Babius did was not considered a criminal.

After losing the 2021 parliamentary elections, Babbi has become a part of the country’s opposition after his populist ANO (yes) Centrist Movement. He also fought for the President’s massive formal post in January 2023, but lost to a retired army general Petra Pavel.
