The city council approves transit-primary lane up to Bloor St. on Bathst, Dufferin

The City Council has voted to approve the dedicated bus lane on the routes of the city’s two busiest city.

After a long debate in the city hall on Wednesday, the council voted 18–5 and 20–3 in favor of the plan to set up bus-cavalry lanes from Bloor Street West to Lake Shore Bulleward.

The scheme initially called for transit-primary lane to expand to Aglinton Avenue.

The plan is to prepare these dedicated bus-keval lanes on time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, when hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected to land in the city.
