According to a recent survey by YouGov, almost a third of Britons say they are worried about the impact Christmas will have on their personal finances. Perhaps not surprisingly, this rises to 42 per cent for households earning less than £30,000.
If you’re looking for ways to cut costs on your festive meal, there’s some good news, as it’s possible to spend less than £15 on an entire Christmas dinner for eight people. It’s less than £2 per person, and includes the turkey with all the trimmings.
To prepare the cheapest options for your festive feast in 2025, I compiled a list of the foods that make up a traditional Christmas dinner and asked leading UK Supermarket They offer the cheapest prices on these products, excluding promotional offers, which you can get through loyalty schemes like Clubcard and Nectar.

Which supermarket will have the cheapest Christmas dinner in 2025?
It’s no surprise that Aldi is the cheapest supermarket to buy your Christmas dinner at in 2025, with a total cost of £13.73. The famous budget-friendly supermarket offers the cheapest turkey I’ve ever seen (£7.47, aldi.co.uk), Cheapest Stuffing Mix (39p, aldi.co.uk), and the joint cheapest brandy butter (£1.89, aldi.co.uk), potatoes (5p at aldi.co.uk) and vegetables.
Even if you’re not planning on buying your entire Christmas dinner in Aldi or Lidl, I would suggest heading to one of the stores for your vegetables as they are incredibly cheap – keep reading for a list of the cheapest individual food items.
If you don’t have an Aldi nearby, there are some deals available that can make the cost of Christmas dinner cheaper at other stores. With Tesco’s Clubcard prices, you can get a Christmas dinner for six for under £10, so it’s worth signing up to the loyalty scheme if you’re planning on shopping there. For a fuss-free option, Asda is selling a Christmas dinner in a box for six, but it’ll cost you £37.97.
