Government officials said on Sunday that Amarvati, October 5 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh government has urged the Central Government to allocate 2,000 hectares of forest land for the development of Sri Bhrimaramba Mallikrajun Swamy Temple.

The development of the temple will be discussed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is going to visit Srisailam on 16 October.

This decision on Sunday, Chief Minister N. It was done in a review meeting organized by Chandrababu Naidu, which was done with the officials of the Settlement Department to prepare a plan for the development of the temple.

He directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive master plan.

The Chief Minister asked for the schemes of settlement and forest department officials to provide better facilities to the devotees visiting the temple every year.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Endowment Minister Anam Ram Narayan Reddy, and senior officials of Endowment and Forest Department attended the review meeting.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu suggested that action should be taken to develop the Sreesilam temple on the lines of Tirupati temple in Tirumala.

He said that in the context of a large number of devotees coming to this temple from various states across the country, they should be provided facilities, including Maharashtra, Karnataka and Telangana.

The Union Forest Ministry was requested to allocate 2,000 hectares of forest land for the development of the temple.

He made it clear that Dornla, Sunderpenta, Eglapenta and other places should be connected to the National Highway Temple.

He said that Srisailam should be planned to be developed as a spiritual center and a tourist destination.

Responding to CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that immediate steps are required for the widespread development of the temple as the number of devotees is increasing year to year.

He said that there is a need to expand the facilities in view of the large number of devotees coming from other states.

The Deputy Chief Minister proposed to study the facilities provided to the devotees in temples like Sabarimala located in the forest areas and develop the Sreesailum site.

The Chief Minister said that all the famous temples of the state are located in the forests and on the hills and have been called for the development of these inherited temples.

He said that in view of Srisailam, which developed as the largest temple after Tirumala, devotees should be provided extensive facilities.
