The central government has denied claims that Operation Sindoor was declared “under international pressure”.

Union Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Kirti Vidhan Singh, Union Minister of State Samajwadi Party MP Ramji Lal Suman said in response to a question that Operation Sindoor was launched to respond to a barbaric cross-border terror attack in Pahilgam and focused on disintegrating terrorists and neutralizing terrorists.

MP Suman asked, “Is it a fact that Operation Sindoor was declared under international pressure.”

Responding to his question, Mos Vardhan said, “Operation Sindoor was launched to respond to a barbaric cross-border terrorist attack by Pakistan-provided militants. It focused on destroying the terrorist infrastructure and neutralizing the possibility of sending terrorists to India.”

The government further stated that India’s actions were “concentrated, measured and non-consumpial.”
The Center further clarified that Pakistan’s attack in response to Operation Sindoor was met with “strong and decisive reaction from the Indian armed forces”.

“, Pakistan, however, attempted to target Indian civilian areas, in addition to some military facilities. These provoked and growing tasks by Pakistan got a strong and decisive response from the Indian Armed Forces, which cause significant damage to the Pakistani army,” written in the north.

It further said, “Next, on 10 May 2025, the Director General of Pakistan’s Military Operations approached his Indian counterpart to request to end firing and ending military activities, which was later agreed that day.”

Opposition is demanding to discuss Operation Sindoor and Pahalgam terror attack in India Block Parliament.

Since the onset of the monsoon session, both houses of Parliament have faced major disruption with the postponement of homes soon after the conference. The proceedings have been stopped due to the continuous demand of the opposition to discuss the major national issues of the electoral rolls, Operation Sindoor, Pahlgam terror attack, Bihar’s Special Intensive Amendment (SIR).

The monsoon session of Parliament began on 21 July and will continue till August 21. (ANI)
