Officials said an unknown boy jumped from Zaina Kadal Bridge in Srinagar on Monday afternoon into the Jhelum River.
An official told the news agency -Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that soon after the incident, the local people, who saw the boy jumping into the river, informed the police.
He said that the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and police teams participated on the spot and conducted a search operation.
“Search and rescue operations are running to find the boy,” he said- (KNO)
