Delhi minister Parvesh Verma said the capital was paying the price for “your wrongdoings”. He accused former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal of not doing any work during his tenure.
According to News 18, he said that the Kejriwal government did not complete a single work related to road construction, waste management and Yamuna cleaning among others. His comments came during a press conference in New Delhi.
Verma said the present BJP government is taking all measures to tackle pollution and is also building new roads to tackle traffic jams and congestion on Delhi’s roads.
The comments come after AAP criticized the BJP government for failing to ease the pollution crisis in Delhi, in which the air quality remains in the very poor and severe category.
According to News 18, AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj had accused BJP of fooling people over the pollution crisis, while alleging that there was no checking of entry and exit of vehicles below BS-VI.
In another incident, Delhi BJP shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) that an AAP councilor was engaged in spreading pollution by lighting a fire in his own ward and making a video of it.
“During their 10-year rule, Aam Aadmi Party people never did any work on pollution and now after losing power, they themselves are engaged in a conspiracy to set fire, create a false story and defame the government,” the party handle captioned the post in Hindi.
