These days, you may even see some air fryers with specific cooking presets like bacon or fries. Brands are getting creative with air fryer designs, whether it’s in terms of space, touch screen, water infusion technology, or the latest trend: smart cooking.

how i tested
I tested the same dishes in each air fryer. I used the provided accessories, rotating through the units’ preset cook buttons: air fry, roast, and bake, as well as other settings that synced cooking times. I paid close attention to how evenly and thoroughly the preset functions cooked, paid attention to food change notifications, and tested the cook probe or thermometer. Don’t worry — I also assessed each air fryer’s cleaning process. Eight air fryers were selected featuring a variety of designs, range of ease-of-use, and helpful settings for every type of cook.
