Officials said that a 24 -year -old youth drowned while bathing in Papachan Nallah in Bandipora district of North Kashmir.
An official said that the youth, who were identified as Tough Ahmed Shah, son of Bashir Ahmed Shah of Papachan, drowned in Nallah while taking a bath.
He said immediately after the incident, as the rescue operation was started. “After a busy efforts, his body was retained and he was transferred to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival”.
In particular, the district administration had issued an advice yesterday, in which the residents were warned to stay away from streams and water bodies due to increase in water levels.
