Vatican City:
Pope Francis thanked the members of the medical team on Wednesday, who saved his life for a serious case of double pneumonia in a five-week hospital, speaking slowly without oxygen at the meeting in the Vatican, but breathed without oxygen at the meeting in Vatican.
The 88-year-old Pontiff is gradually performing more publicly as he is cured by the biggest health crisis in his 12 years in the role. On Wednesday morning, he met around 70 doctors and staff of Jamelli Hospital in Rome, where he was treated for 38 days.
“Thanks to your service in the hospital,” the Pope said in a soft, rope voice. “This is very good. Keep going like this.”
During its final public presence, on Sunday, the Pope did not use oxygen.
The Pope’s medical team has urged him to rest for two months after leaving the hospital to allow him to fix his body completely. Francis initially stayed out after returning home, but now many brief public demonstrations.
The Vatican will start its most busy holiday season on Thursday, including at least six religious ceremonies in four days, including the Easter, the most important Christian holiday, on Sunday.
It is still not known how much the Pope will participate in the events. The Vatican has handed over to senior cardinals to lead each ceremony in place of the Pope.
