A 16-year-old girl was died, another seriously injured In a sledding accident, parts of Texas A rare snowstorm hit the weekend.
Police in Frisco, about 30 miles north of Dallas, said a 16-year-old boy was driving a Jeep and pulling two girls on a sleigh around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. WAF reports.
Witnesses told police the sled carrying the girls hit a curb and then hit a tree.
Two teenagers were taken to a nearby hospital, where one died from his injuries. A second teen was reportedly in critical condition Sunday.

“I don’t know what they told the parents they were doing, but my neighbor who lives next door said he saw a Jeep pulling some kids on a sled and a few minutes later we saw six or four police cars here and a bunch of caution tape and something bad was going on,” Trevino said.
Authorities have not yet identified the teen involved in the crash. It’s unclear whether charges will be filed.

Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing around 11 a.m. Tuesday. Temperatures will approach 40 degrees by Tuesday afternoon, which means the ice may be gone by Wednesday, the report said.
