A bakery in California claimed that Tesla had not paid for a large order, but the bakery has confirmed that the bill has been resolved. The resolution comes after billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk pledged to “make things better” in response to media coverage of the incident.
Giving Pies, a Black-owned bakery in San Jose, reported that Tesla canceled an order for 4,000 mini-pies. The bakery owner revealed that Tesla’s last-minute Valentine’s Day order was initially for 2,000 pies, then increased to 4,000 pies before being canceled without payment. Now, in an email guardianthe bakery owner confirmed, “Tesla just paid me the $2,000 I was owed.”
