“Terror and talks cannot go together, blood and water cannot flow together”: PM Modi

Hitting in Pakistan on his support of cross-border terrorism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that “terror and talks” and “terror and trade” cannot go together.

In his address by the nation, PM Modi said that after the surgical strike in 2016 and the air strike in 2019, now Operation is India’s policy against vermilion terrorism.

The Prime Minister put India in the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan after the Pahgam terror attack and said that water and blood could not flow together ”.

He also said that if there is talks with Pakistan, it will only be on terrorism and will have to vacate Pakistan -occupied Kashmir which is in its illegal occupation.

The Prime Minister said that in response to the Pahgam Terror Attack, Operation Sindoor has engraved a new benchmark in India’s fight against terrorism and has established a new parameter and a new general.

“First, if there is a terrorist attack on India, an appropriate answer will be given. We will only give a reaction to our terms. We will take strict action everywhere from where the roots of terrorism come out. Secondly, India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail. India will strike nuclear blackmail solidly and decisively.”

“Third, we will not differentiate between the government sponsoring the masterminds of terrorism and terrorism. During the operation vermilion, the world again saw the ugly face of Pakistan when top Pakistani army officials came to bid farewell to the slain terrorists. This is a strong evidence of state-sponsor terrorism.”

The Prime Minister said that India defeated Pakistan every time in the battlefield.

“And this time Operation Sindoor has added a new dimension. We have displayed our abilities in the deserts and mountains and have also proved our superiority in the war of the new era. During this operation our Made in India has also proved to be the authenticity of arms. Today the world is coming for the 21st century war.

The Prime Minister said that India’s greatest strength is unity against all forms of terrorism.

He also referred to the “Age of War” to Russian President Vladimir Putin in the context of Ukraine War, but said that it is also not an era of terrorism.

“This is certainly not the era of war, but also not an era of terrorism. Zero tolerance against terrorism is a guarantee for a better world. The way the Pakistani Army, the Pakistan Army is encouraging terrorism, it will not one day destroy Pakistan. Terror and trade cannot go together … terror and business cannot go together … water and blood cannot flow together,” he said.

“Today, I would also like to tell the global community that our announced policy has been: If there is talks with Pakistan, it will only be on terrorism; and if there is talks with Pakistan, it will only be on Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK).”

PM Modi said in the last few days, people have seen both the strength and patience of the country.

“First of all, on behalf of the people of India, I salute India’s brave forces, armed forces, our intelligence agencies and our scientists. Our brave soldiers showed immense courage to achieve the objectives of Operation Sindoor. I pay homage to their bravery, courage and valor. I dedicate every mother, every sister and every daughter.”

India, after Operation Sindoor, effectively canceled the growth by Pakistan Military and also increased some airbase.

India and Pakistan on Saturday understood their Indian counterpart Lieutenant General Rajiv Gai at an understanding on firing and military action after a call by Pakistan DGMO, both DGMOs also spoke to each other on Monday. (AI)
