Hyderabad, November 24 (IANS) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said on Monday that Kodangal would be developed as an international education centre.
Addressing a public meeting after laying the foundation stone of various development works in his constituency Kodangal in Vikarabad district, he also vowed to develop the city as Noida of Telangana.
He also promised to develop Kodangal as a model constituency in the state.
He said that Kodangal would be developed as an education hub where students from across the state would come for their studies.
The Chief Minister listed out development programmes, which mainly include the opening of medical, veterinary, agricultural, paramedical, nursing, engineering colleges, integrated residential schools, junior and degree colleges and a military school in the Kodangal constituency.
Saying that quality education is the only way to brighten everyone’s future and their lives, CM Revanth Reddy said the government is providing breakfast to 28,000 students in 312 government schools in Kodangal assembly constituency.
CM Revanth Reddy said, “We are ensuring that no student suffers from hunger and have started a program to provide mid-day meals through centralized kitchens. Like mothers, our government is also thinking about the well-being of students by providing quality food.”
Saying that the ‘people’s government’ gives top priority to education, irrigation and women empowerment, he said the state will prosper economically only when women are happy and lead a dignified life.
She claimed that the government launched women empowerment schemes so that they could live with self-respect.
Good rice distribution, free RTC bus travel and LPG cylinder for Rs 500 brought happiness to every household, he said. The government also gave work to women’s groups to set up solar power plants and compete with top industrialists.
Saying that farmers are voluntarily giving land for the Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project, the CM said the project will be completed in three years and irrigation facilities will be provided.
The government is also committed to transform Lagacherla Industrial Area into an international industrial area. The long pending railway network up to Kodangal will also be completed soon. The 70 year old dream of the people of Kodangal will come true as the work on the railway line will start in nine months.
He also announced the establishment of cement industries in Kodangal constituency and promoted the constituency as a role model for the state in development
Reiterating that “Indiramma Rajyam” will continue for 10 years in the state, the CM sought the support of women for the comprehensive development of Kodangal. He appealed to the people to elect good candidates in the upcoming local body elections.
