A Taiwan man stole the ashes of his ex -girlfriend’s father and threatened that he would “never see him again” until she agreed to come back together.
A 57 -year -old chicken farmer surname LV, accused, South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported that a 48 -year -old had a relationship with a woman.
After 15 years, Ms. Tang broke the relationship in 2023, not seen any future due to Mr. LV’s growing financial troubles and he was very much relying on family support. He also cut all contacts.
Unable to accept the breakup, Mr. LV repeatedly threatened Tang in the next two years. In May 2023, he started visiting the cemetery, where Ms. Tang’s father was kept ashes. He planned to steal the urn as a way to put the Kalash emotionally pressure.
By August, Mr. LV stolen.
Four months later, in December, he went to Ms. Tang’s house and kept her father’s portrait out. At that time, Ms. Tang did not realize that the Kalash was missing and did not respond to the danger.
In February 2024, just before Valentine’s Day, Mr. LV sent a threatening letter to Ms. Tang. This included pictures of the stolen urn and a message, stating that she would “never see her father again” if she does not return to her.
Ms. Tang reported the case to the police.
The authorities coordinated with the army to inspect the cemetery and found that the compartment caught holding the urn was broken, in which both the urn and plaque were missing.
Mr. LV was already in jail for unrelated allegations of fraud and money laundering. During interrogation, he refused to steal the Kalash, but the surveillance footage motivated investigators to believe that it was hidden near his chicken farm.
On March 28, the police recovered the urn and returned Ms. Tang.
LV now faces additional allegations to steal and harm the fanneri items, as well as criminal intimidation.
