In the video, shared by Viral Bhayani, we can see Shehnaaz Gill wearing a blue colour mini skirt and the same colour crop top. The actress is looking chic in Western attire. Following their visit, Shehnaaz called the parliament block beautiful and talked about the proposed Women’s Reservation Bill. She mentioned that the bill is a ‘great step’ and added that it hints towards the progress of the country.

“It is a great step. I am a woman. If we are given rights and equal treatment, even parents too will support girls. I come from a small village. The girls are married off so that they get settled. But after this, if girls and boys are treated as equals, a lot of things in the country will change,” Shehnaaz told the news agency ANI.

Meanwhile, talking about Thank You For Coming, the film is directed by Karan Boolani and is produced by Rhea Kapoor. The film recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Thank You For Coming features Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, Shibani Bedi and Anil Kapoor in key roles. The film was first premiered at the festival on Friday, September 15 and then on Saturday, September 16. The film is releasing on October 6.

The cast of Thank You For Coming had recently visited Toronto where their film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. The pictures of the stars from inside the Parliament building were shared by producer Ekta Kapoor on her Instagram feed. Sharing the pictures where all can be seen looking beautiful in sarees, Ekta Kapoor wrote, “We are deeply honoured to be invited to visit the New Parliament. As a team of women, we are proud to see our country making progressive changes towards the betterment of the nation. The Women Reservation Bill: Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam is a momentous step towards empowerment and upliftment. It paves a great path for Indian women of all backgrounds to take charge and lead us into a brighter future.”

Thank You For Coming received an overwhelming response at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Over the weekend, Bhumi Pednekar expressed her gratitude on Instagram. The actress shared a series of pictures and videos with her co-stars. She also thanked everyone for all the love. The opening frame featured Bhumi ruling the red carpet in a gorgeous strapless gown with a thigh-high slit. Shibani Bedi also added, “This is a beautiful moment, a landmark moment in history. The passage of this Bill — women from all facets of life will get a chance to be a part of the law-making process. So, I think it is a great development.”

Dolly Singh also shared that visiting the new parliament building was a lifetime experience. “It is important for women leaders and women to go ahead. For that, I feel elated. I also had the opportunity to visit the Parliament and we even got to attend a session. It was once in a lifetime opportunity,” she told the news agency.

After her tour of the new building, Shehnaaz told ANI that the new Parliament is beautiful and embodies the art and culture of our country. Talking about the proposed Women’s Reservation Bill, she said, “It is a great step. I am a woman. If we are given rights and equal treatment, even parents too will support girls. I come from a small village. The girls are married off so that they get settled. But after this, if girls and boys are treated as equals, a lot of things in the country will change.”

Shibani Bedi also shared her views on the bill curently being discussed in the lower house. She said they were visiting Anurag Thakur and toured the building with him as well. Actors Bhumi Pednekar and Shehnaaz Gill visited the new Parliament building today ahead of the release of their upcoming movie ‘Thank You For Coming.’ They met with Union Minister Anurag Thakur along with their other co-stars Shibani Bedi and Dolly Singh.

Speaking to NDTV about the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, or the women’s reservation bill, Bhumi Pednekar said: “I feel very proud to be here and be a part of such a historic moment. It is a beautiful building (the new Parliament). Being a modern, Indian woman, this (women’s reservation bill) is a very important thing for us. Through our films and our work, we have tried to maintain equality for our gender. The messaging of the bill will go far and wide – change is here and our tomorrow will be even better.”

“The bill will bring a change that will help women get better representation. If there are no women in places of power, the policies and laws won’t be proper. The representation will happen now, there is hope,” she added.

Ms Pednekar’s co-actor Shehnaaz Gill said men and women should be treated the same. “It is a big thing for me … Something big is happening for the women of our country and I am here. I am here on a historic day. I had the opportunity to see the Parliament from inside. Not everyone gets such an opportunity. I even heard the debate (on the women’s reservation bill).

“It is a good thing – the proposal to have 33% reservation in Lok Sabha and state assemblies for women. I feel men and women should be treated the same. India is growing,” she said.

“It felt nice to see the House proceedings live after seeing them on TV for so many years. We went around the complex and everything was explained to us. I got to see the art on display. It was fantastic,” Ms Gill said.

The new Parliament reverberated with fiery speeches from women MPs today during a heated debate on the women’s reservation bill. Former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, DMK MP Kanimozhi, and the NCP’s Supriya Sule ripped into the government for failing to respect women, while Union Minister Smriti Irani responded by declaring the government has “made women count”.

Bigg Boss alum Shehnaaz Gill’s sex comedy Thank You For Coming was recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film features Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh and Shibani Bedi as an ensemble. The film was received well at the premiere and Shehnaaz took to Instagram on Saturday to express her feelings about walking on an international red carpet.

Shehnaaz graced the red carpet in a shimmery orangish-nude gown with a plunging neckline, flaunting her curves at the film festival. She shared photos on Instagram with the caption, “Celebrating and taking it all in one breath at a time. This carpet, this air, this all feels so surreal. Sinking in all in. This magical international carpet premiering my film with a sold-out show, it all feels nothing less than a dream.
