Food delivery platform Swiggi has launched Pyng, which marks the entry of professional services to the market. Swiggy’s Pyng is a standalone AI-operated app that provides users with professional services verified in more than 100 expertise.
Swiggy aims to ship over 10,000 professionals via Pyng. Users can find experts in areas such as health, welfare, finance, education, travel and events. Some professionals include yoga instructors, tax planners, career advisors, DJs, makeup artists, and more. The app is currently available on both iOS and Android in Bangalore.
As SwiggyPyng is more than a search bar where users can use convergent AI to reach professional services.
Three standalone apps of swiggy
While speaking at the new launch, Nandan Reddy, co-founder in Swigi and head of innovation Nandan Reddy said, “With Pyng, we are offering a reliable, spam-free platform, where users can join with reliable experts. To meet the demand of these special offerings, Pyng not only empowers the individual providers, but also the real form for consumers.
In January, Swiggi announced a change with its integrated app strategy and planned to launch three standalone apps. Pyng is a part of the three standalone apps which was launched by Swigi this year. In the select PIN code of Bengaluru, a 15-minute food distribution app called SNACC is planned to launch a separate app for its grocery delivery service instalm, Pyng-Professional Services Marketplaces and a 15-minute food delivery app.
The contestants Swiggy and Zomato have first followed different app strategies. While ZOMATO has introduced separate apps for various use cases such as food distribution, quick commerce, and district (events and dining), Swiggi said that it has benefited from all services integrated in the same app. However, Swiggy’s move to introduce different apps is similar to the strategy of Zomato.
