‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ Camp Held at Ayushman Mandir in Delhi’s Karkardoa

New Delhi, September 20 (IANS) as part of the ongoing Seva Pakhwada as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the Delhi government on Saturday organized the ‘Health Nari, Sashak Parivar Abhiyan’ (SNSPA) in the Ayushman Arogya temples in Karcardoma village and Babarpur.

Health Minister of Delhi Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh said, “Health of mothers, sisters and daughters of Delhi is the most important priority of our government.

He urged women across the city to visit Ayushman Arogya temples and health camps and get their health check -up.

The campaign, which started from 17 September, will continue till 2 October (Gandhi Jayati), he said that during this fortnight, the Delhi government is expanding a wide range of health services to empower women.

He said that the facilities in the camps include the issue of PMJAY card, Ayushman Card and Abha IDS, as well as several digital health services.

He said that a large number of women participated in Saturday’s camps, took advantage of medical check-up for free, consulting and prescribed medicines without any cost with specialist doctors.

Under the initiative, a comprehensive health package is being provided under a roof for women and children. He said that pregnant women are being given all the necessary medicines with high -risk pregnancy tests, mother and child protection (MCP) cards, and vaccines.

In addition, recipe competitions are being organized to spread nutritional awareness, while citizens are being motivated to pledge for blood and eye donations, he said.

Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh said, “Women are the foundation of every family. When women of Delhi become strong and healthy, their families are strong, and in return, our nation becomes strong. This campaign is tied up with Prime Minister Modi’s vision, which is to make Delhi the capital of a developed India.”

Expert doctors from GTB Hospital (Gynecology, ENT, Eye Sciences and Textiles) and Hedgle Hospital (Medicine and Pediatrics) participated in the camps to provide expert care.

Along with the health services of women, children are being immunized and mothers are being educated on nutrition and supplementation in camps, they said.

A separate counter has been installed in the camp to provide information about healthy food and dietary practices. Children are also getting free weight monitoring and other anthropometric assessments.

For adolescent girls and younger generation, the Division Tablet and iron supplements are being distributed for free. Under the UDAAN program, the Delhi government is also distributing free sanitary napkins. In addition, “Nayee Pahal Kits” is being provided to married couples to promote family health awareness.
