Swami Chaitananand’s controversial past, 2009, 2016 cases of tampering cases

New Delhi, September 24 (IANS) Many criminal cases have been registered against Swami Chaitanyand Saraswati, aka Partha Sarathi, who have been accused of sexually harassing several students in Delhi, police revealed on Wednesday.

According to officials, the accused, Swami Chaitanyand Saraswati, is the director of a prestigious Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management in Upsant Kunj area of ​​Delhi.

He is facing a police case for allegedly targeting students enrolled in postgraduate management diploma courses under the Economically Weaker sections (EWS) category along with scholarship.

In 2009, a case of fraud and molestation was registered in Delhi’s Defense Colony. In 2016, a woman filed a case of molestation in Vasant Kunj and an FIR was lodged at Vasant Kunj North Police Station about the same.

Meanwhile, this time, investigators said that out of 32 women students, at least 17, who recorded their statements, accused Chaitanyanand of sexually assaulting.

Police said complaints also include abusive language, lewd text messages and examples of forced physical contact.

The victims further alleged that women faculty members and administrative staff pressurized them to follow the demands of the accused. Police said in a statement that many students also claimed that the warden had presented them in the ashram.

Additionally, officials mentioned that the accused was run by a luxury Volvo car, in which a fake United Nations Number Plate (39 United Nations 1) was affected.

Investigation revealed that the number plate was not released by the United Nations, but was coined himself by Chaitanyanand. The car has been confiscated since then.

South-West District Deputy Commissioner Amit Goyal said, “A case of sexual harassment and other relevant allegations has been registered against Swami Chaitanyanand.”

He said that the accused is missing since the case was filed.

Police teams have investigated CCTV footage and conducted several raids on both the crime place and the residence of the accused. However, Chaitanyand is unaware.
