Court records show ITV Studios has lodged a personal injury claim in the High Court.
The incident left her with injuries to her head, lips, cheeks and wrists, which deputies say resulted in permanent facial scarring, deformity and nerve damage. Ms Dickinson is reportedly seeking more than £700,000 in compensation.
While court documents detailing the allegation have not yet been made public, her UK representative Dermot McNamara said: “Janice is fully committed to this legal process and will do so until the end. She looks forward to unveiling her defense once it is received from ITV.”
The star reportedly cited a medical report that found she suffered from facial dysesthesia – a condition that causes discomfort, increased sensitivity and reduced sensation due to permanent nerve damage.
The report also concluded that her face had been “permanently altered”, with scarring that could not be hidden and permanent asymmetry around her lower face, including her lips, mouth, cheeks and chin.
A spokesman for ITV said: “Janice Dickinson’s letter of claim has been received and reviewed.
