Canadian swimming phenom Summer McIntosh continued its major performance at the World Aquatics Championship on Thursday, leading to the third gold medal in the women’s 200 -meter butterfly.
The 18 -year -old Toronto’s 18 -year -old touched the wall in a bang 2: 01.99 while setting a new championship record. Extraordinary swimming brought him closer to Tantalizli to break the world record for 2: 01.81 set by Liu Zigige of China in 2009.
Mcintosh entered the 200m butterfly final as the Olympic champion at the event and a clear favorite.
