strictly come dance An all-new, high-pressure challenge is set to be introduced, “Instant Dance”, in which contestants will attempt to choreograph a routine in just 10 seconds.
The innovative segment will debut on the popular BBC dance competition during its live show on Saturday, November 29.
Participants must randomly select a dance style from among those already learned. Next, their accompanying music will be played, giving them just 10 seconds to prepare their performance strategy.
Chief Justice Shirley Ballas Expressing his anticipation for the new format he said: “Instant Dance has the power to change everything for our couples, and it will challenge them in ways they have never been challenged before.
“The standards are incredibly high this year and the competition is so close, there is a lot riding on it.
“The dance styles, costumes and music probably won’t be revealed until the night, but we can rest assured right now that it’s going to be a lot of fun. I can’t wait.”

After performing their dance, the contestants will also go through wardrobe to choose their costumes and change into them.
The new challenge will be when the contestants will perform their dance in the normal manner, after which the judges will rank them and give extra points accordingly.
A maximum of six points will be given to the couple whose instant dance performance impressed them the most, with one point given to the couple whose dance impressed them the least.
