PhD punan kri hills revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancerarousing her overwhelming love Strictly Come Dancing co-starring.
Krishan, 42, Appearing in BBC Competition 2024told her Instagram followers that she “went to some very dark places” after learning the news in August.
She said that despite nearly two decades as a doctor supporting patients and families coping with difficult diagnoses, “absolutely nothing can prepare you to be on the receiving end of it yourself”.

Krishan said she had a “gut feeling” something was wrong and urged people to get themselves checked.
She went on to say that while undergoing treatment, she kept her diagnosis a secret so she could protect her energy and “most importantly” her and her husband, Dr. Sandesh Gulhan’s, two children.
But now that treatment is over, she shares the news with “silent heaviness.”
“My husband, my family and a small group of friends helped me get through it in ways I’ll never forget. When something like this happens, you quickly realize what — and who — really matters,” she said.
Krishan continued: “This experience changed me. It took me to a very dark place mentally – talking about your own death can do that – but it also brought life back to what’s really important.”

Meanwhile, Amy Dowden, who also has breast cancer, wrote: “Sending you so much love xxxxxxxxx from this pink sister.”
Krishan had previously said strictly It was the “best fitness journey” of her life. “I was a little anxious at first, I didn’t know what I was going to do, but the training was very physically demanding and the dancing, I loved it,” she said. “I’m more fit than ever and I have more energy as a result.”
Krishan was eliminated in Week 5 of the 2024 series that Chris McCausland won.
