Streeting warns

Striking doctors should feel the “pain” to take industrial action to prevent the spread of walkouts in other public areas, Wes streeting has warned.

Health secretary Hospitals have been instructed to reduce disruption for appointments safely as up to 50,000 Junior doctor Stage a Five-day walkout in the latest row on salary.

In response, Sir Jim McKay, Chief Executive Officer of NHS England, described the attacks as “very annoying and disappointing” and warned that the step could not be “result-free”.

It has also been reported that doctors will be warned that frequent absence from duties can slow down the progress of career.

Mr. Streeting sent a personal letter to the NHS resident doctors, saying, “I regret the situation that we now find ourselves.”

The Health Secretary said that when he cannot make a big increment, he is committed to progress to improve the working life of doctors.

He also said that he no longer believes that the Resident Doctor Committee (RDC) of the British Medical Association (RDC) has “engaged in good faith with me to stop the strike”.

The members of the public have been urged to come forward for NHS care during the walkout, and are being asked to participate in the appointments until they are canceled.

NHS England said GP surgery will open as usual and immediate care and A&E will be available, with NHS 111, NHS England said.
