Stray dog ​​bites woman to death in Kapurthala, Punjab

About 20 stray dogs bit a 32-year-old woman to death in Passan Kadim village in the district, police said on Wednesday.

They said the incident took place in Sultanpur Lodi on Tuesday night when the woman went to herd cattle in the fields.

When she didn’t come home, her husband began looking for her and later discovered her mutilated body, police said.

The deceased was identified as Pari Devi (32), they said.

Police said the stray dog ​​also attacked another woman from the same village and she was admitted to the civil hospital.

Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal said the district administration would provide financial help to the families of the victims.

He also directed the authorities concerned to remove stray dogs from the villages.
