"Status in Iran": Students arriving in Delhi say that the Indian government picked them up from its door

Arriving at New Delhi from the Conflict region in Iran under Operation Indus in India, Indian students thanked the central government for evacuating them directly from their doorstep. He described the situation in Iran as “bad”, given that the people there are extremely “scared”.

An Indian student, Sheikh AFSA praised the government’s efforts on a flight carrying 110 citizens under Operation Indus, to praise the government’s efforts to ensure a safe withdrawal when returning to Delhi, stating that the government took them ‘from their doors’.

“We are happy to return here, but we are also worried about our studies. The situation (Iran) there is bad, and people are scared. We also received calls from people in Iran, who said that the situation in Iran is very important. The situation is very important.” She told Annie.

The Government of India has started Operation Indus to vacate Indian citizens from Iran as a result of the ongoing struggle between Iran and Israel.

Another empty student expressed his gratitude to the Government of India and said that he had safely returned home due to his efforts.

He said, “I am glad that I have come back to my country. We have not seen any such thing in Uromia, but in other places in Iran, the situation was bad … the Indian government helped a lot; that’s why we are back home,” he said.

Describing the situation as “important”, another Indian student urged the Indian embassy in Iran to save the trapped fellow Indians in Tehran and Isfahan: “… We thank the Indian Embassy for emptying us at the right time, but for all our brothers and sisters, who are trapped in Ezafahan and Tahan.

A girl from Jammu and Kashmir, currently in her fourth year studies in Iran, hopes that the war will soon end so that she can complete her education.

He described the entire clearance process as “smooth”, given that he did not face any challenge. He also urged the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to provide the facility of his early home.

“We are unhappy because we have to leave our studies … we are happy, because we did not expect that we will come back; such a condition is there (in Iran) … I hope the war will end soon, because our studies will be completed, and Iran will not have to be very suffering.
