Saying that the restoration of the state of Jammu and Kashmir is not a concession, but a constitutional right, the President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday called for an immediate withdrawal for full democratic rights in the region.
Speaking at a meeting of one -day workers of blocks, light, and mohalla units in Pulwama District Party Office, Mujahid Manzil, Dr. Farooq said, “The state is not a gift-it has been promised by the ruling government for a long time, long-over-over-over and repeated ruling government.”
Dr. The meeting chaired by Farooq reviewed party matters and suppressed public issues.
He assured the party’s employees that the government led by Umar Abdullah is giving priority to these challenges.
He criticized the status of the Center area as a hurdle for the real rule. “J&K is huge, not only in the land, but in its layered culture. Operating it under the limited structure of an UT is like trying to fly kites without air,” he said.
Apart from this, Provincial President Shokat Mir, Provincial Secretary Syed Tauqir, MLA Justice Hasnan Masudi, Ghulam Mohidin Mir and DDC President Syed Bari Andraby were included. The event was organized by District President Pulwama Mohammad Khalil Bandar. (KNS)
