A 30 -year -old youth of Seher Ali Kadal in Srinagar died in mysterious circumstances in New Delhi, alleging that he was attacked by unknown persons.
An official told the news agency- The bodies of Kashmir News Observer (KNO) youth were brought to Srinagar this morning when he allegedly died in Delhi under mysterious circumstances.
He said, “According to Delhi Police, the incident happened a day earlier when he received a call from the general public about the boy in a public park. They soon arrived and took him to the hospital, after which his family was informed,” he said.
He said that the inquiry proceedings are going on and postmortem has also been organized.
The youth have been identified as Zubair Ahmed Bhat of Sehyar Ali Kadal in Srinagar.
“The family says that the boy had a migraine issue earlier, but now it was completely fine. We are helping the family and asked him if he had any kind of doubt, he can call the police or go to the police station anytime,” the officer said.
Family members told KNO that he lost contact with Zubair at 4 pm on Thursday, and later, he was informed about his death. “He used to travel to Delhi regularly for matters related to work,” he said.
He claimed that he had screenshots of chat, showing that he was beaten in Delhi area where he was living. Family members said, “We urge the authorities to conduct a proper inquiry into the matter and provide justice to the culprits.”
