The Srinagar police marked the International Day against drug abuse and illegal smuggling by organizing a series of awareness activities and community outreach programs in police stations and police posts across the district.
The purpose of this initiative was to educate the public about the harmful consequences of drug abuse and immediate need to compete with illegal drug trafficking. The authorities actively attached seminars, street plays, awareness rallies and interactive sessions with local communities, educational institutions and youth.
In order to strengthen the message, there was also informative discussion with the public to highlight the sick results of drug abuse.
On the occasion, senior officials underlined the importance of a joint effort in dealing with the increasing challenge of drug addiction and illegal smuggling. He reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Srinagar Police to create a drug-free society and called upon the citizens to actively contribute to the prevention and awareness efforts.
The Srinagar Police is dedicated to promoting a healthy and safe society, which continues its active-non-anti-drug operations, strict enforcement measures and continuous cooperation with various stakeholders.
