Srinagar Police Register FIR against businessman Sandeep Mawa

Srinagar, June 10, KDC: The Srinagar police have registered a case against businessman Sandeep Mawa for allegedly obstructing government officials and presenting false information in the discharge of their duties. The case has been filed under the FIR number 31 of 2025 at Police Station Kotibagh.

Officials told the news agency Kashmir.com (KDC) that Sandeep Mav, son of Roshan Lal Mawa, has been booked under several provisions of the Indian Joint Code 2023, including Section 192 of BNS, which relates to misinformation to a public servant. Section 353 (1) (C) of BNS, which endanger the life or security of a public servant or other people during the commission of obstruction and Section 353 (2) of BNS.

A police officer confirmed the registration of the case and said that further investigation was going on. We are following the fixed process according to the new legal framework under the Indian Joint Code. The official said that appropriate action will be taken based on the conclusions. (KDC)
