Srinagar, 25 July: In another important step to end the drug threat and eliminate the infrastructure that supports the drug trafficking, the Srinagar Police has attached a residential property of about ₹ 55 lakhs under the intoxicating drugs and psychotropic substances (NDPS) Act.
The attached assets include a two-storey residential house, which is constructed at Khasra number 2865 of 13.5 Marlus, priced at around ₹ 55 lakhs, belonging to Khajir Mohammad Tiplu/O Abdul Ahad Tiplu.

The action case is related to FIR number 85/2024
U/s 8/20, 21, 22 NDPS Act of Police Station Sora, in which the owner of the property attached has been found as Hilal Ahmed Tiplu R/O Dawood Colony, Anchor, Sora, as accused.
The accused person is a notorious drug pedaler and has a history of involvement in drug pedaling, mainly targets local youth, pose a serious threat to public health and safety.
Investigations have revealed that the above assets were acquired through income from smuggling of illegal drugs.
Acting under sections 68-E and 68-F of the NDPS Act, Srinagar Police formally seized and seized real estate according to the appointed legal process.
The property cannot be sold, transferred, or otherwise dealt with without prior approval from the competent authority.
This development marks a decisive step in the widespread strategy of Jammu and Kashmir Police to destroy the financial infrastructure of the drug network.
Jammu and Kashmir Police continue to prefer a zero-optimity approach to drug-related crimes, aimed at securing the community, especially its weak youth from the dangers of drug abuse.
