Srinagar, 04 August : In a decisive step against social crimes in the society, Srinagar Police arrested five people in connection with a violent attack incident which took place in Khyam Chowk, Khanyar during the night of 3 and 4 August 2025.
The accused persons were allegedly involved in creating a public disturbance and physically attacking with some individuals in the area.
Taking cognizance of the incident, FIR number 40/2025 was registered under Indian Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) under section 109, 115 (2), 126 (2), and 324 (4) in police station Khanyar.
During the investigation, all the five accused were identified and later arrested by the police.
Two vehicles used in the commission of crime – one Mahindra Scorpio N and a Toyota Glenza – have also been confiscated as part of the ongoing investigation.

2. Talat Hassan, S/O Ghulam Hassan Dhar, R/O Housing Colony, Chanapora, Srinagar
3. Nadeem Malik, S/O Bashir Ahmed Malik, R/O Natipora, Mehjoor Nagar, Srinagar
4. Amir Rashid Molvi, S/O Abdul Rashid Molvi, R/O Jogilankar, Rayanavari, Srinagar
