Users reported seeing error messages and other problems when attempting to listen to music.
According to tracking website Down Detector, the problems appear to be widespread and were reported around the world. The problems began just before 3pm UK time, or 10am on the US East Coast.
The issues come after several major outages in recent weeks, including Cloudflare problems shut down Spotify among other major apps, including ChatGPT,
This time, the issues appear to be localized to Spotify, while other major platforms appear to be still online.
“We are aware of some issues right now and are investigating!” the company said on its dedicated status account on X, formerly known as Twitter.
