‘Spider-Man’ director Sam Raimi’s wife files for divorce

Sam Raimi is known for his directing skills Spider Manand his wife Gillian Greene are headed for divorce after decades of marriage.

According to court documents obtained by PeopleGreen, 56, filed for divorce on Wednesday, May 8, in the Superior Court of California, Los Angeles County.

The reason for the split is stated to be “irreconcilable differences”, with the wedding date given as September 17, 1993, while the date of separation is “TBD”.

Additionally, the court filing revealed that Green has requested to end spousal support and Raimi’s ability to receive alimony.

Additionally, with no mention of a prenuptial agreement, Green has asked the court to order the 64-year-old director to cover her attorney fees.

News of their separation came as a shock, as Raimi recently discussed upcoming Spider Man film but no mention was made of his marriage.
