According to sources, both the companies may soon announce plans to set up development centers in the state. The total investment by Accenture and Infosys is likely to be around ₹2,000 crore.
The state will incentivize two IT majors under its LIFT (IT Framework and Location for Technology) policy 4.0, which aims to boost technology-based job creation in tier-II cities.
The move follows earlier allotments to TCS and Cognizant, which have already received land parcels at concessional rates in the state to expand their operations.
As CNBC-TV18 previously reported, TCS had announced plans for a new facility in Adibatla, while Cognizant was allotted land in Visakhapatnam for a technology and distribution centre, expected to employ thousands of people.
Officials said the latest round of approvals signals Andhra Pradesh’s intention to establish itself as a major IT investment destination in south India, with incentives designed to attract top-tier global players.
