New Delhi, 4 October (IANS) Uttar Pradesh vice -president Keshav Prasad Maurya on Saturday launched a spectacular attack on the Samajwadi Party after a delegation of MPs and the leaders tried to visit Bareilly over the ongoing controversy related to the ‘I Love Muhammad’.
Reacting rapidly, Maurya wrote in a post on X: “Sending a delegation to Bareilly is a drama and a drama and childish step by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. The SP is known for his dirty politics of Muslim appeasement. SP’s collapse and wipeout in 2027 assembly elections.
These comments come a few hours after leaving for Bareilly from the residence of senior leaders Harendra Singh Malik, including MP Iqra Hassan, Mohibullah Nadvi, and Ziyar Rehman Barak, MP Iqra Hasan, Mohibullah Nadvi and Ziyar Rehman Barak. The Leader of the Leader of Opposition was working under the instructions of Mata Prasad Pandey, who meets the affected people in Bareilly recently in police action.
However, SP leaders were stopped by police amid heavy deployment near Bareilly.
In the team’s part, SP MLA Atur Rahman said: “We were going to Bareilly on the instructions of Mata Prasad Pandey, so that the victims of the incident were instructed to meet the people so that people could get justice. But the police were deployed to stop us from many stations.”
Mata Prasad Pandey said, “All the officers there, I had earlier appointed as SPS. When we meet them, we can understand the situation better. It is necessary to go there to remove people’s concerns.”
The visit was planned against the background of the dispute in Bareilly, where the police allegedly detained the youth on the pro -Islamic slogans, leading to political and community unrest. The SP has accused the government led by Yogi Adityanath of high-making and targeting minorities.
Meanwhile, the administration said that the law and order is being retained and no communal tension will be tolerated.
